That wonderful piece of equipment in your kitchen sink makes cleaning dishes so easy! Scrape everything from rice to potatoes into it and with the flip of a switch it’s gone.
Between the sink and the disposal there is a rubber flange called a splash guard. It’s job is to stop stuff in the disposal from splashing out when it’s operated and stop larger things like cutlery falling down into the disposal.
Replacement is inexpensive and easy, less than $20. It takes a minute and a strong set of fingers pull the old one up and out, then push the new one in and over the flange and it locks into place.
