Consultation Service

Consultation

Do you just want advice?

Get it from expert Inspectors. Got questions about your home or an investment property? Unsure about repairs, want advice on a project, or do you have issues in your building that worries you? We have the answers for you.

For these type of issues call for a consultation, we come to you and you ask the questions. It’s your time with a professional who has no agenda, nothing to sell, nothing to gain, giving you straight forward answers to your questions.

Maintenance is the single most important aspect of owning a house, without constant maintenance and upkeep your asset deteriorates and loses value.

All too often routine maintenance is not performed, not because it is put off, but because it is not obvious that the work needs to be done. There is no benefit doing regular improvements to your home if the basics are not covered first, let us steer you in the right direction.

Building Knowledge

Your concerns, Your time, Your dime!

This service is totally different to our Home Inspection which is a package. The consultation is based on time, there is no pass/fail, you ask the questions and our Inspector gives you answers, ideas, solutions, helping you solve your problems. You can choose if you want a report or choose to take your own notes.
If it needs to be done, we can do it !

Need advice without a sales pitch:

Are you considering replacing your roof, are there damp problems, do you have foundation cracks that are a concern. Is there a wall or a post you want to remove. We can take look, make an evaluation and give you answers.

If we don’t have the answer we probably know who does.

Gas and particularly natural gas piping may have traces of sediment or particulates in it, especially if work has been done to the underground piping under the street. Thermostat Placement Is Crucial

March 13, 2025 By David Roche

A badly placed thermostat plays havoc with the heating and cooling of a house. In this case the wall light creates a warm zone beside the thermostat causing it to register hotter than the rest of the house. This means that it reaches what it registers as the set temperature shutting the furnace down before […]Read More about Thermostat Placement Is Crucial

All too often the overflow on the bathtub is loose or worse yet loose and the gasket damaged. The water can also create […]Read More about Bath Overflow Loose

Bonding Gas Piping

January 8, 2025 By David Roche

A bonding wire is often mistaken for a ground wire, it does not go to ground but back to the electric panel. When it is connected to black iron *(steel)* piping the paint under the clamp must be removed with a rasp or sandpaper to make a good contact, paint reduces the contact rendering the […]Read More about Bonding Gas Piping
