Our notes marked “vacant” must have been incorrect, so we drove down the road and waited twenty five minutes. Returning we hesitated before going up the steps and knocking.
There were evidently dogs and some large people living there, timidly we knocked, no reply. Tried the other side and no reply, looking in the windows it was obvious that the duplex was vacant. Just the dog gate and a few pairs of large shoes outside the front doors, probably from a thrift store, was the perfect deterrent for anyone thinking of breaking to the vacant building. “Pure Genius!”
