If it’s a big project tape it out on the ground or walls, measure, re measure and make sure it fits. This newly installed ladder access is the perfect example of a great idea turning into an expensive useless disaster.
In our reports there are shower doors that do not open because they are blocked by the toilet, attic accesses that are no longer accessible with the new closet shelving, electric panels enclosed in kitchen cabinets, drain pipes that slope uphill, we have seen it all.
If you are not sure what you are doing get expert advice before you start your project.
