Inspecting a beautiful home in Centerville, I was impressed with all the updates. The house while not being old had been recently remodeled and a deep soaking bathtub installed. The scene was like something you would see in a magazine, the bath, the view, the chandelier lights….. Chandelier lights?
This was a big no, no! Chandeliers have exposed bulbs which is fine in your entry foyer, but in the bathroom above a tub full of water, absolutely forbidden!
In fact an exposed bulb is not allowed in a shower or the surrounding tub area due to the possibility of electrocution. The light fixture has to have an enclosed bulb.
So if you can “see the bulb”, say good bye and replace the fixture no matter how amazing it looks.
