Wood Destroying Insect (WDI) inspection is often known as a “Termite Inspection“. This inspection is intended to find any organism that is damaging or may be infesting the ground around the house preparing to do damage. This inspection and the WDI Certificate are required by most lenders to get a loan to purchase.
The Inspector will inspect the exterior and interior of the building and any adjacent sheds or garages to determine if there is an infestation of termites, carpenter ants, wood boring bees, woodpeckers, powder post beetles or any other bug or pest that is attacking the wood or the structure. This can usually be performed at the same time or before the Home Inspection. The “Termite” inspection takes about 25 minutes and the WDI Certificate is issued on site. If treatment is required you will be given the treatment plan along with information on the chemical that will be used, warranty and cost of the treatment.
If you require a “Termite” inspection let us know, the termite inspector will try to schedule for the same time as your Home Inspection (From $79 in Dayton area)
