In the attic this box from a nineteen fifty six, North American Van Lines promotion was still in perfect condition. Stamped on the top corner is “Wife Approved Move” how times have changed! The wife approved move must have been successful because it was still advertised up thru the early sixties in newspaper adverts.
North American Van Lines was a Cleveland, Ohio company, founded in 1933 and expanded to ten times it size in five years before moving its corporate office to Fort Wayne, Indiana, continuing to grow into one of the largest trucking companies. The company has been bought owned by PepsiCo (Yes the soda one) and Norfolk Southern the train operators, now it has been bought back by a group of franchise owners.
