Basic Tool Box

When you own a home you need at least a basic set of tools to do routine maintenance and repairs. If not for maintenance you will need them to assemble furniture, put items together or hang pictures. You will want to keep all these items in a tool box or bucket so they are easy to find and all in the same place.

Your BASIC tool box should contain:
Hammer (Claw type 16oz)
Wood Saw
Tape Measure (20 Ft)
Pencil
Torpedo Level
Screw Driver with Phillips Head
Screw Driver with a Flat Head
Pliers
Straight Jaw Tongue & Groove 12″ Pliers (referred to as a CHANNELLOCK®)
Utility Knife

A few other things to add to your starter kit would be:
Spray Can WD40 (lubricant)
Spray Can Silicone spray (lubricant)
Wood Glue
Duct Tape
Electrical Tape
Teflon Plumbing Tape
Sandpaper assorted grit
